Mental Health and Wellbeing Support

It is so important to try and look after your wellbeing during your training, through to being a qualified pharmacist. Maintaining positive wellbeing helps your mental and physical health and can help you perform better. It can contribute to achieving the success in your training and assessment you have worked so hard for. Positive wellbeing can reduce stress, increase resilience, and help you to confidently transition from trainee to pharmacist.

Listening Friends

Pharmacist Support’s Listening Friendsservice is staffed by trained volunteers. It provides callers with the opportunity to talk anonymously and in confidence to a pharmacist about any stresses they are facing in their work. Listening Friends can chat with trainees about many issues, for example anxiety about the assessment or difficult situations in the workplace.

To arrange for a Listening Friend to call you, contact us on: 0808 168 5133  or email: info@pharmacistsupport.org

Counselling Support

Thanks to a grant from the Covid-19 Healthcare Support Appeal (CHSA) we are now able to provide direct psychological support for those who are experiencing mental health issues. Through this funding we are able to fund twelve counselling sessions via phone or zoom.

The counselling service is appropriate for those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, a change in family circumstances that causes distress, bereavement, and other psychological issues. Click here to find out more about our Counselling offer.
