Our partnership with the BPSA

We’ve been working closely with the British Pharmaceutical Students Association (BPSA) for many years with the joint aim to support pharmacy students throughout their studies and introduce our charity to students at the start of their pharmacy journeys.

Pharmacist Support attends their annual conference and supports with annual student activity, such as presenting at presentations and workshops. In 2023, we supported the BPSA with their Disability Campaign by sharing information about the support available to people studying and working in pharmacy with a disability and our Trustee, Anita Cawley, shared her journey as a pharmacist living with cerebral palsy, and how she overcame barriers to her disability to advance in her career in an exclusive webinar. We’ve also supported multiple BPSA mental health campaigns, and they support us with our student #ACTNow campaigns. Additionally in 2023, we worked together to create a Student Wellbeing Award which was presented at their 81st Annual Conference and Awards.

Furthermore, we’ve worked on multiple projects together to support students who need it most. For example, in 2021 we supported the BPSA with their Emergency Grant Fund which allowed students who struggled to get an assessment location close to their home due to the issues that year a grant that helped them with travel, accommodation and childcare costs.
