Boots Pharmacy
Our partnership activities with Boots began in 2016 when the company commissioned the development of some bespoke wellbeing videos and resources for their pharmacy teams. This continued into 2017 when again Boots funded a coaching pilot scheme for its Boots Pharmacy Association (BPA) members. This was followed up by an additional donation in 2019 for the charity to continue to develop its wellbeing offering.
The charity were delighted to partner once again in 2022, 2023 and again in 2024 and to focus this wellbeing activity on supporting trainees to get mentally prepared for the assessment and their transition to registered pharmacist through our Trainee ACTNow campaign and also to build on the support and wellbeing resources available internally to Boots employees.
Pharmacists are at the heart of delivering care to patients and customers in their communities and so it’s important that we at Boots look after their wellbeing and the wellbeing of the team that support them. This is especially important for our trainee pharmacists as they take their final step and enter into the profession to play an important role as part of a wider healthcare team in community pharmacy. We are delighted to partner with Pharmacist Support to get involved in its ACTNow campaign and I encourage all Trainee Pharmacists to explore and utilise the resources now available.Claire Nevinson - Superintendent Pharmacist, Boots UK
