Charity Ambassadors

Charity Ambassadors play a key role in helping the charity meet its strategic objectives to increase awareness of our work and optimise income generation and expenditure.

Charity Ambassadors

Charity Ambassadors are an integral part of our team. As a charity, we really couldn’t do what we do without a committed and enthusiastic team of volunteers! Charity ambassadors champion our work within their local pharmacy communities, such as at their place of work/study, local networks and organisations. This role is vital to Pharmacist Support’s work and helps ensure that people who are eligible for support are aware of our charity and how to access our services. Another key part of the role is to help raise valuable funds so that the charity’s free and confidential support continues long into the future. This is a flexible role to suit your availability.

Support and training

As one of our volunteers we’ll provide you with:

  • An induction session to introduce you to the charity, recognise your skills and identify any ongoing support you may need from us in order to fulfil the role
  • Your own toolkit which will contain all the information you need to be a ambassador for Pharmacist Support
  • A designated point of contact for support and guidance, when needed
  • Reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses, for example travelling to and from an event/volunteer training venue
  • Volunteer newsletters to keep you up to date and connected with your fellow volunteers.

Student Ambassadors

We’re currently recruiting student Ambassadors! Student Ambassadors are our people on the ground at each university, helping us raise awareness and vital funds. They host information stands, deliver presentations, write articles, support with social media and organise fundraising events.

How to apply

To apply to join our team of student ambassadors, please read the below guidance notes and submit a completed application form. To help us ensure we are adhering to our diversity policy we ask that you complete the equal opportunities monitoring form. This enables us to monitor the diversity profile of people who apply for Pharmacist Support posts. This information is given in confidence for monitoring purposes only and is not seen by anyone responsible for making recruitment decisions.
