Have you been affected by the recent riots?
Our support services are here for anyone impacted or triggered by recent events.
The recent riots have been distressing for many, and we understand the impact such events can have on our pharmacy family. Pharmacies are at the heart of communities up and down the country, providing much needed care and help to the public, and pharmacists and their teams deserve to work in a safe environment, free from abuse, violence and vandalism.
As a charity dedicated to the wellbeing of pharmacists, we want to express our solidarity and support to everyone impacted. We take pride in the rich diversity within the pharmacy sector and celebrate the cultural heritage that each individual brings.
The effects of such events can often emerge over time, and it’s important to know that you don’t have to face it alone. If anyone in our pharmacy family is struggling and needs support, please reach out to us. For someone to talk to, you can access our Listening Friends peer support service. For confidential support to help you process emotions, stress, anxiety, or trauma we offer a dedicated counselling service. Additionally, if you have been threatened at work and aren’t a member of a trade union, our employment advice service is here to help.
We also encourage you to review the GPhC’s statement and additional support available across the sector.
Remember we are here for you.
