We may only be five months into 2013 but pharmacists across Great Britain have already been busy helping to raise funds for Pharmacist Support (PS). From book launches to award ceremonies, the Charity has seen many members of the profession come forward in support of its work.
The Trustees and staff would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Dispenser who generously donated 5% of sales from his book ‘Pills, Thrills and Methadone Spills’ to the charity; to the organisers and attendees of the Scottish Pharmacist Ball & Awards who generated £2500 in donations for PS on the night, and to Graham Phillips of Manor Pharmacy Group who donated a £500 prize to PS as part of his Pharmacy Business Leader of the Year Award. These gifts will be used to help the charity continue to provide free and confidential support to pharmacists and their families, former pharmacists and pharmacy students in need.
This month PS Team members Paulette & Kate alongside trustee Christine Miles are also doing their bit for the charity and will be joining thousands of runners on the streets of Manchester for the Great Manchester 10K! You can follow their progress online and encourage them on by making a donation via their justgiving page!
