Read how our student hardship grant helped pull Marco* out of a very financially distressing time.
“During my final year of university, I was in a really tough place with my finances. I had pretty much nothing in my bank account, and had numerous bills and expenses that I knew I needed to pay in the near future. This was causing me a lot of stress and seriously taking a toll on my mental health.
At this point, my university was not able to help me financially. I came across the Pharmacist Support Student Hardship Grant on the charity’s website and decided to apply as it was the last thing I could do to try and help my situation.
Filling in the application online was fairly straight forward and the team was incredibly supportive, guided me through the application process and got back to me extremely quickly, even when I needed to provide further supporting documents. The team made sure these were confirmed in quick time and as a result really helped facilitate me getting the grant, something am incredibly really grateful for.
Overall feedback for the process is 10/10, excellent.
It helped relieve the financial burden I was going through as well as really improving my mental health and wellbeing.
I am now happily continuing my MPharm degree and hope to achieve a masters and progress onto my foundation training year.”
