Come together and join TEAMGreen
Pharmacist Support is calling on those in their pharmacy family to help them to continue to provide their essential free and confidential services by joining TEAMGreen and helping to raise vital funds!
Launching on World Pharmacists Day (25th September) and running until 31st October, the TEAMGreen campaign aims to highlight the importance of donations to the charity’s future and hopes to provide an opportunity for the profession to come together in support of a vital cause.
Whilst the charity has worked harder than ever to provide support to the pharmacy profession during the pandemic, most of its usual fundraising activities have not gone ahead.
“We, like many charities across the world right now, are having to find new ways to deliver our support to ensure that the people who need us are not cut off from help when they need it most” commented Pharmacist Support Chief Executive, Danielle Hunt.
“Additionally, we are having to find new ways to engage donors and generate income that don’t rely on face to face activities, large scale events or gatherings.
“We’ve seen how recent events have impacted our pharmacy family on the front line and have worked hard over the past six months to ensure no one in our pharmacy family has to face challenging times without us by their side.”
In response to the additional pressures faced by pharmacists, trainees and MPharm students across the country as a result of COVID-19, Pharmacist Support launched its ACTNow wellbeing campaign. From 20th May through to the end of August, ACTNow provided simple wellbeing tools and shared the stories and experiences of fellow colleagues, trainees and students navigating their way through the various challenges faced. Hundreds of individuals signed up to receive weekly wellbeing emails and the campaign hub saw thousands accessing its learning modules, factsheets, videos, downloadable posters and resources.
“Our support is needed now more than ever” said Danielle. “Here at Pharmacist Support we champion the wellbeing of our pharmacy family and believe that by bringing people together we can create positive impact. By joining TEAMGreen and fundraising as an individual or as a group, people can raise vital funds whilst hopefully having some fun too.”
