Have you thought about the future?
In September we are asking supporters, volunteers, staff and beneficiaries to think about what they’d like to pass on to future generations as part of Remember a Charity in your Will Week.
Have you thought about what you’d like to pass on or leave to your family, friends and the future generations of professionals behind you? 9th – 15th September 2019 is “Remember a Charity in your Will Week” where we will be asking our supporters, volunteers, staff and beneficiaries to take some time to think about the legacy they’d like to leave.
Should I write a will?
Making a Will is something that many of us put off, even though it’s an important step in ensuring the people and causes we care about are looked after after we’re gone. Gifts in Wills can help protect your family’s future while giving you the opportunity to support a cause close to your heart.
Whilst the idea of discussing death may make you feel uncomfortable, you should consider how much worse things might be if you passed away or became incapacitated – through illness, an accident, or old age – without having arrangements in place.
By remembering Pharmacist Support in your Will, your gift will help safeguard our services, ensuring that the charity is around to help those in need, for years to come.
Writing a will
For those yet to write a Will – it couldn’t be easier. We have partnered with Beyond who offer a simple, legally binding online Will writing service that can be completed in just 15 minutes, with the option to leave a gift. PLUS they are offering PS supporters 50% off the price. Get started here and use the code PHARMA50 to claim your discount.
One supporter told us:
“My previous Will had not mentioned any charity, and the process of drawing up this new one meant that I could give careful thought to including explicit instructions to my executors, to remember Pharmacist Support with a legacy.”
Those wishing to update their Will and include a gift to the charity, should contact their solicitor who can guide them through the process.
