Pharmacist Support is proud to announce the return of our pharmacist ACTNow wellbeing campaign, running this year from Monday 20th October to Friday 7th November 2025.

Now in its sixth year, the campaign continues to encourage people across the profession to Allow time for wellbeing, Consider the needs of others and Take action to support themselves and their colleagues.

This year’s campaign will focus on three urgent themes identified through the latest Workforce Wellbeing Survey, conducted with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS):

  • Connection
  • Personal Budgeting & Financial Support
  • Navigating Change & Growth

The survey results highlight just how pressing these issues are for pharmacists across all settings:

  • 87% of pharmacists remain at high risk of burnout
  • 70% reported experiencing loneliness or isolation in the past six months, with those in Community Pharmacy (42%) and General Practice (40%) more likely to feel this way than those in Hospital Pharmacy (32%)
  • Key pressures impacting wellbeing included work-life balance challenges (49%), financial pressures (47%), lack of support from colleagues or senior staff (47%), and long working hours (34%)
  • Alarmingly, 41% of community pharmacists said their mental health was rarely or never prioritised in the workplace.

We encourage everyone across the profession to get involved, share the campaign with colleagues and take some time to focus on their own wellbeing.

The campaign will deliver a series of digital resources, interactive activities, podcasts and social media content to help individuals and employers address these challenges in a practical and supportive way.

Danielle Hunt, our Chief Executive says of the campaign:

“The wellbeing challenges facing the profession remain significant and this year’s ACTNow themes aim to address the issues pharmacists themselves have identified as impacting their wellbeing. The Workforce Wellbeing Survey shows financial stress, work-life balance challenges and a lack of support from colleagues are taking a serious toll on individuals. By focusing on connection, financial wellbeing and navigating change, we hope to provide timely, practical tools to help people manage these pressures and feel more supported. We encourage everyone across the profession to get involved, share the campaign with colleagues and take some time to focus on their own wellbeing.”

On the role of employers, she adds:

“Workplace culture has a huge impact on wellbeing. With 41% of community pharmacists telling us their mental health is rarely or never prioritised at work, its important employers engage with and support this campaign. The ACTNow campaign provides employers with resources and tools that can be used to help create environments where people feel valued and supported. This includes practical tools that teams can use together and resources that can open up conversations and strengthen workplace connections.”

Pharmacist Support is grateful to this year’s campaign sponsors, The Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA) and Teva UK, whose continued support enables the charity to deliver vital wellbeing resources and raise awareness across the profession.
