Charity formalises partnership with RPS

Pharmacist Support and The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) are proud to announce a formal agreement that will enable the two organisations to align plans and work more effectively together to increase the impact of the charity and better support RPS members.

Working hand in hand to bring about a cultural shift that enhances the wellbeing of the sector

Since their evolution into separate but closely aligned entities, the RPS and Pharmacist Support have developed a collaborative relationship and engaged in joint activities. Formalising the partnership strengthens the link between the professional body and the profession’s charity to allow each organisation to reach a wider audience and focus on supporting the wellbeing of the profession.

“Formalising our partnership with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to supporting our pharmacy family” said Chief Executive of Pharmacist Support Danielle Hunt.

“This collaboration not only strengthens our ability to reach and assist more individuals within the profession but also underscores our shared dedication to advancing the wellbeing of pharmacists and their families.

“Over the past few years, initiatives like our workforce wellbeing survey and roundtable events have laid the groundwork for collaboration, bringing together organisations from across the sector. Now, as we join forces officially, we’re excited to build on this foundation and work hand in hand to bring about a cultural shift that enhances the wellbeing of the sector. We also look forward to furthering our fundraising activities with the RPS and its members, ensuring our continued support for our pharmacy family.”

The objectives of the partnership include:

  • Establishing a visible, renewed direct link between the profession’s professional body and its independent charity, further positioning both organisations for the mutual benefit of the profession
  • Increasing awareness of each other’s organisations to reach a wider audience
  • Identifying opportunities for fundraising for Pharmacist Support
  • Collaboratively identifying and delivering specific wellbeing projects/provisions
  • Enhancing understanding of the work and support provided by both organisations.

RPS Chief Executive Paul Bennett said:

This agreement not only strengthens our existing collaboration but also opens avenues for deeper engagement and joint initiatives to empower pharmacists and contribute to the wellbeing of pharmacy professionals.”
