Pharmacist Support – the pharmacy profession’s independent charity – is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in the next phase of our development.

The role

The charity is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join its Senior Management team as we embark on delivery of our exciting new five-year strategy.

As Operations Manager, you will oversee the service delivery team and work directly with volunteers and partner organisations to deliver support to our beneficiaries. In line with our strategy, you will help shape our future service offering and lead the development of a new volunteer strategy. You will ensure that we continue our communications with service users and partners, enabling the charity to continue to meet the changing needs of those in the profession.

As a member of the Senior Management team, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the charity, ensuring it continues to deliver quality, impactful services. Your role will involve the management of supplier relationships and contracts, budgeting, the development and monitoring of relevant policies and procedures and line management of four members of staff, as well as volunteers.

They will be compassionate and fair and able to communicate effectively with a variety of people using a range of communications channels, initiate and manage a range of collaborative working relationships and meet challenging milestones.

As a national charity Pharmacist Support provides free and confidential services to pharmacists and their families, former pharmacists and pharmacy students across GB. Support includes an information and enquiry service, stress helpline, wellbeing service, financial assistance, specialist advice in the areas of debt, benefits and employment law and addiction support. As a charity we listen, without judgement and encourage and empower people to create positive change. Each year we provide thousands of acts of support – we make good things happen.
