Fundraising ideas
Whether you’re making an individual commitment, or you’d like to raise funds collectively as a group or workplace, there are lots of ways you can get involved.
Once you’ve decided on your fundraising activity, you will need to decide how you want to collect the cash and send it to our charity.
Online is the most cost effective and secure way to fundraise or donate. Setting up a Pharmacist Support fundraising page is easy and should be one of the first things you do. We recommend using a trusted online fundraising page such as Just Giving where supporters can safely transfer their donations. If you link your page to our charity page on the same platform, the donations will then automatically get transferred to us along with any Gift Aid contributions.
Once you have set up a fundraising page, your supporters will be able to leave messages of encouragement, view any training updates and make donations to you. This money will go straight to Pharmacist Support and be added to your fundraising total.
1. Create your Fundraising Page
Set up your JustGiving Page and follow the easy on-screen instructions. If your sponsors are UK tax payers, ask them to consider Gift Aiding their donation. This means that we receive an extra 25p for every £1 donated and it doesn’t cost you or your sponsors anything extra.

2. Explain why you’re fundraising for us
It’s the first thing your visitors will read, and research shows that personalising your fundraising page in this way could help you raise an extra 9% in donations. People are more likely to make a donation if they know why the cause is important to you. We recommend also linking to our case studies to show the real-life impact donations can make.
3. Upload a photo
Fundraisers with pictures on their page often raise 14% more for each picture they share. Keep your page updated with new photos of you preparing for your event/activity and remember to post pics from the day when it’s all over.
4. Set a fundraising goal
Did you know that JustGiving pages with a target raise up to 46% more sponsorship than pages without one? Share your target so people can help you reach your goal.
5. Include your offline total
Adding your offline (cash, direct bank transfers or cheques) fundraising donations will keep everyone updated with your fundraising journey and help you keep on top of your donations.
6. Keep everyone updated
Posting regular updates encourages people to re-visit your page, which in turn could even encourage them to donate more to help you reach your target or share your cause with their friends.
7. Promote your page
Once you’re happy with your JustGiving page, promote it. Don’t underestimate the power of word of mouth and remember to follow us on social media and tag us in your fundraising updates.

8. Collaborate with your workplace
Does your office have a JustGiving company profile? If so, linking up with them has the potential to boost your donations by up to 20%.
9. Thank people
Make sure you thank everyone who sponsors you. If you do it through social media, it will act as a reminder to anyone who hasn’t sponsored you yet!
To pay in offline donations to our Just Giving page, visit our TEAMGreen JustGiving page, click on DONATE and transfer the cash collected in your donations box. Be sure to leave a message or your contact details so that we know how the money was raised.
We also accept cheques! Please send them to our office alongside your contact details and details about how the money was raised:
