A new, simpler way to find the support that’s right for you

Charity introduces new website navigation and a simpler, more person-centred way of presenting its support as part of its five-year strategy

We’ve changed the way we present our support, making it easier to start with what you’re experiencing and find the information, resources or support that’s right for you.

If you’ve visited the Pharmacist Support website recently, you may have noticed that things look a little different.

As part of our five-year strategy, we’ve introduced a new, more person-centred way of presenting our support, including changes to our website navigation and the way our information, resources and services are brought together.

Starting with you, not a service

We know that when you come to Pharmacist Support, you might know what you’re struggling with, but not necessarily what type of support or service you need.

You may be worried about money, finding things difficult at work, struggling with your mental health or looking for support as you study or train. Or you might simply be looking for information and practical ways to look after your wellbeing.

That’s why we’ve moved away from leading with individual services and instead organised our support around the challenges and experiences that may bring you to us.

This is much more than a change to our website navigation. It represents a shift in how we talk about and connect people with our support.

Supporting You

Our support is now brought together under four key areas:

Personal wellbeing
Supporting your mental and physical health.

Financial health
Building confidence and providing practical help.

Workplace wellbeing
Helping to create healthier working environments.

Studying and training
Supporting you through your studies, training and early career.

Within each area, you’ll find relevant information, guidance and practical resources alongside the different ways Pharmacist Support can help.

This could mean finding an article or self-help resource, taking part in a wellbeing campaign, workshop or online learning, or listening to our A Dose of Wellbeing podcast. At other times, you may need more personalised support through counselling, Listening Friends peer support, specialist addiction support, financial assistance or specialist debt and benefits advice.

Here for everyday wellbeing and life’s challenges

One of the things we want our new approach to make clearer is that you don’t have to wait until things become difficult to engage with Pharmacist Support.

Our information, resources, campaigns and learning are here to help you look after your wellbeing, build confidence and take positive steps throughout your pharmacy journey. And when you do need more personalised or specialist support, we’re here for that too.

Danielle Hunt, Chief Executive of Pharmacist Support, said:

“One of the commitments within our five-year strategy is to ensure that Pharmacist Support continues to evolve alongside the changing needs of our pharmacy family. That means not only developing the support we provide, but making sure people can find and access it as easily as possible.

“We know that life’s challenges aren’t always clear-cut and people don’t necessarily arrive at our website knowing what type of support or service they might need. This redevelopment work has been person centred, focusing on what issues they might be facing and then connecting them with the information, resources and support available.

“Digital development is an important part of our strategy, and our website is one of our most valuable resources. It provides round the clock access to information and support. These changes are an important first step in making it easy for our service users and supporters to connect with us, as well as creating a stronger foundation from which we can continue to develop our digital offer.”

The website changes are an important first step in bringing our new approach to life. Over the coming weeks and months, you’ll also start to see it reflected across our wider communications and materials as we continue to develop and improve the ways people can access our support.

Whether you’re studying for exams, managing workplace pressures, facing financial challenges or looking after your wellbeing, you don’t have to face those challenges alone.
