As the profession's charity, we recognise that collaboration across the sector is key to supporting our pharmacy family to ensure it is well-equipped to face any challenges people may have.
All of our volunteers are current or retired pharmacists, trainees and students, and because of this shared professional background they are uniquely able to understand the specific pressures affecting pharmacists and their families and pharmacy students.
We recognise that these are particularly challenging times for those in our pharmacy family and want to ensure that our support offering continues to meet the needs of those in the profession today.
There can also be benefits to your own wellbeing whilst supporting the charity and your fellow pharmacists.
There are two types of Pharmacist Support volunteers:
Our team of Listening Friends volunteers are all trained pharmacists and offer a confidential, listening ear to those in our pharmacy family who may be struggling and need a safe, non judgemental space to be able to talk through the difficulties that working in, and studying pharmacy can cause.
Our Charity Ambassadors are a team of volunteers who help us to spread the word in their local communities about the support we can offer at Pharmacist Support and help to ensure that those who are eligible for our support, know our services are here for them.
