Support from the Pharmacists’ Defence Association

The Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA) has been supporting Pharmacist Support since 2017. The PDA now has more than 40,000 members and donates £1 a year for each of those members to the charity. In addition, they encourage their members to donate when joining or renewing their membership.

As well as this financial support, the PDA helps us raise charity awareness through their vast network. Without their continued partnership, we would not be able to provide as much vital support. Since launching this partnership, the PDA has provided over £330,000 in donations. Working together we aim to create a stronger, more confident, and safer pharmacy community.

About the PDA

The PDA is a defence association and leadership body representing pharmacists, trainees, and students. At the heart of their operation is a cast iron commitment to supporting individuals when they face difficulties. They understand that challenges can arise when people least expect, and when they do, they have a team of experienced lawyers and pharmacists to guide individuals to achieve the best possible outcome.

There's nothing transactional about this relationship; it is one of the most powerful examples of a symbiotic Win Win that you can find in pharmacy. The greatest beneficiaries are PDA members themselves, as well as those who rely on the wider support made possible through the long-standing partnership between the PDA and Pharmacist Support.
