Community Pharmacy North East London makes donation to Pharmacist Support

We're delighted and grateful for the generous donation of £375 from Community Pharmacy North East London.

Thank you to Community Pharmacy North East London for their generous donation!

We’re pleased to be starting the new year with the wonderful news that Community Pharmacy North East London (CP NEL) has donated £1 per pharmacy to Pharmacist Support on behalf of the 375 contracts that are represented in northeast London.

Shilpa Shah, CEO, and the CP NEL committee members say of the donation:

“CP NEL represents 375 Community Pharmacies in northeast London. We recognise when speaking to pharmacy owners and pharmacists that it’s getting tougher and tougher out there in Community Pharmacy and often whilst speaking to people, we find that they are offloading their worries and stress at the same time. As a team at the LPC, we support where we can and if appropriate, with practical advice, but it suddenly occurred to us that we want people to be able to offload in a safe environment and that Pharmacist Support would be a good organisation to signpost to. We decided to donate a £1 per pharmacy and to share Pharmacist Support details with all our pharmacists”.

Danielle Hunt, Chief Executive of Pharmacist Support says:

“We’re delighted that the team at CP NEL has chosen to support the profession’s independent charity. Their recent donation to Pharmacist Support reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the lives of pharmacists across North East London and beyond. In these challenging times, contributions like this play a crucial role in sustaining our support services. With ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic and the cost of living crisis, every donation makes a meaningful difference in our ability to assist those in need.”.”

Our charity relies on individual and corporate donations to ensure pharmacy students, trainees and pharmacists have access to free, independent and confidential support. This donation will directly contribute to the provision of vital services, including confidential advice and support with issues relating to stress & wellbeing, welfare, addiction and finance.
