Tomorrow may be Blue Monday, but we’re seeing green here at Pharmacist Support! We’re delighted to be able to share with you some special news of another corporate donation from our charity partner, Well Pharmacy.
At the end of 2020 we announced plans for the expansion of our wellbeing service. In particular we’re developing a clear pathway of support that includes more practical and emotional assistance for those experiencing poor mental health.
To enable this to happen, and to continue to respond to the needs of our pharmacy family, we, as an independent charity, rely heavily on the financial support of organisations and individuals across the sector. Well Pharmacy CEO, Seb Hobbs, described the importance of this ongoing support:
“We are proud to support the important work that Pharmacist Support does day-in, day-out. The last 12 months have been unprecedented for our industry, and pharmacists and their teams have stepped up to help and support the needs of their local communities whilst having their own worries to cope with. Pharmacists focus on their patients’ health and wellbeing – it’s what they do every day – so having an independent charity that focuses on supporting them during their time of need is absolutely vital.”
Well Pharmacy join long-time charity partners the PDA in showing their ongoing commitment to the vital work of the charity and, following the success of last year’s ACTNow campaign sponsorship, have committed to continue working with us this year to raise awareness of pharmacy wellbeing.
“Pharmacist Support is really grateful to Well Pharmacy for their generous donation and their continued support” said Pharmacist Support CE Danielle Hunt. “With this gift we start this new year off on a high. We look forward to working in partnership with the team at Well and sharing further details around this joint activity as the year progresses.”
We recognise that our pharmacy family continues to face challenges throughout this difficult time. This Blue Monday we’re teaming up with Well Pharmacy to bring you tips on maintaining a positive mindset. Keep an eye on our social media accounts tomorrow for practical support on managing your wellbeing, whatever 2021 throws our way.
