Beginning your foundation training year is a big step. There’s a lot to learn, new people to work with and plenty to think about – from settling into your role, balancing your workload and revision to keeping on top of your finances and preparing for life as a registered pharmacist. It can be easy to put your own wellbeing at the bottom of the list. That’s where Trainee ACTNow comes in.
Three days of support to kick off your trainee journey
Running from 25th – 27th August 2026, Trainee ACTNow is our annual mental health and wellbeing campaign created specifically for trainee pharmacists.
This year, we’re focusing on three areas that can make a real difference during your foundation year:
- Getting the most from your trainee year – practical guidance to help you understand what to expect and make the most of this important stage of your career, starting with a free Trainee Mental Health and Wellbeing Digital Pack.
- Financial wellbeing – useful advice to help you feel more confident about managing your money and budgeting.
- Thriving in your new team – support and insights to help you build positive workplace relationships and feel more comfortable in your new environment.
You’ll also hear experiences and insights from people who have been through the trainee year themselves, alongside practical mental health and wellbeing advice.
The Trainee ACTNow campaign made me feel seen and the information was very relevant.

Know a trainee? Share ACTNow with them
If you’re a training provider, employer, tutor, pharmacy professional or simply know someone starting their trainee year, you can help us make sure they know support is available. Please share Trainee ACTNow with your trainee networks and encourage new trainees to sign up. A small action now could help a trainee feel more supported throughout one of the biggest transitions of their pharmacy career.
A special thanks to our Trainee ACTNow sponsors
Pharmacist Support recognises that partnerships are crucial to the success of our work and we’re delighted once again to be working with campaign sponsors Boots and the PDA. It’s thanks to their continued support that our charity can dedicate time and resource to the development of our wellbeing resources that are shared for free as part of the campaign.
As the pharmacy profession’s independent charity, we’re proud to support the next generation of pharmacists and hope employers, training providers, charity supporters and trainees alike will join us in championing trainee wellbeing throughout the year.
