We’re delighted to welcome Cassie to the team! Cassie joined Pharmacist Support in March 2025, bringing with her more than seven years of experience in the charity sector. With a strong passion for creating meaningful change, she’ll be working across several areas of the organisation — from events and office management to wellbeing support and volunteer and ambassador engagement.

We caught up with Cassie for a quick Q&A so you can get to know her a little better.

Q&A with Cassie

What drew you to join Pharmacist Support?

I was drawn to Pharmacist Support because of its strong focus on wellbeing and the real difference it can make to people’s lives. The opportunity to be part of an organisation that supports individuals through challenging times and helps them move forward in their careers really resonated with me. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that the work we do has such a positive and lasting impact.

What’s something from a past role that you’re excited to put to use here?

Event organisation! I’ve planned everything from small workshops to large-scale campaigns, and I love bringing people together for a shared purpose. I’m excited to use those skills to help create engaging, impactful events that support and connect the pharmacist community.

Cassie Anderson, Central Support Officer

What part of your new role are you most looking forward to?

As Central Support Officer for a number of different teams, I’m really looking forward to working and supporting my colleagues across the organisation. I enjoy being that go-to person who helps things run smoothly and takes some of the pressure off others. It’s exciting to know I’ll be supporting such a wide range of work and playing a part in something that genuinely makes a difference.

If your week had a soundtrack, what song would be on it?

Definitely something by Beyoncé – her music is always so empowering and uplifting. “Run the World (Girls)” would be my go-to for motivation, while “Halo” is perfect for when I need a more chill, feel-good moment.

What’s your go-to way to relax after a busy day?

I love unwinding by spending time with friends and family – either heading to a spin or Pilates class, or just relaxing on the sofa with a good movie and some tasty food (snacks are non-negotiable… which is exactly why the spin and Pilates come in handy!).

Coffee (or hot drink) order of choice?

It’s usually a matcha latte – but if my sweet tooth takes over, it has to be a caramel latte…with a biscuit on the side, of course!

What’s one thing you’re really passionate about outside of work

Keeping fit is a priority for me because it helps maintain both physical health and mental well-being. It’s so important to create space for the activities and people that bring me joy and balance.

Favourite place for a weekend walk?

Living in Manchester city centre, I enjoy walking along the Ashton Canal in New Islington – it’s a peaceful spot right in the heart of the city. However, my partner and I also love escaping the hustle and bustle by heading out of Manchester to connect with nature.

What’s one small thing that always makes your day better?

People smiling and offering a helping hand – it’s the little acts of kindness that can really brighten the day.

In three words, how would your friends describe you?

Caring, easy-going and positive.

We’re thrilled to have Cassie on board and hope you’ll join us in giving her a warm welcome!
