How to fundraise for us this Christmas
As a charity, we rely on public donations to keep our vital Support Services running. Sadly, like many other charities, our fundraising efforts have been massively affected this year and we’re having to look at different ways to raise the funds which so many of our beneficiaries rely on.
As Christmas quickly approaches, many of you will be thinking of ways to give back and perhaps donate to charity. There are many ways you can do this with minimal effort and help us, the profession’s charity, this Christmas:
1. Use charitable shopping platforms
The below vetted platforms enable you to do your Christmas shopping online as normal but with the added benefit of making a donation to us on your behalf – with no extra cost to you. Simply sign up to the platform, search for Pharmacist Support as your chosen charity, and shop to your heart’s content from the comfort of your armchair!
AmazonSmile
AmazonSmile offers all of the same items, prices, and benefits as its sister website, Amazon.com, but with one distinct difference. When users shop on AmazonSmile, the retailer’s Foundation contributes 0.5% of eligible purchases to the charity of your choice. There is no cost to charities or customers, and 100% of the donation generated from eligible purchases goes to the consumer’s charity of choice.
AmazonSmile is very simple to use—all you need is an Amazon account. On your first visit to the site, you will be asked to log in to your Amazon account with an existing username and password (you do not need a separate account for AmazonSmile). When prompted, search for and choose Pharmacist Support as your charity. During future visits to the site, AmazonSmile will remember us and apply eligible purchases towards your total contribution—it is that easy.
EasyFundraising
Using Easyfundraising turns your everyday online shopping into donations for Pharmacist Support, at no cost to you. Just visit your favourite retailers (there are over 3,500 retailers, including all the big names!) through their website and then shop as normal. Once you’ve made a purchase the retailer will then make a small donation to your cause.
Simply register with Easyfundraising on their website and choose Pharmacist Support as your chosen charity. Then, whenever you want to buy something online, log into easyfundraising first and click on the retailer you want to shop with. You’ll then be taken to their website where you can continue to make your purchase in the usual way. But – crucially – because you visited easyfundraising first, Pharmacist Support will get a donation.
Give as You Live
Similar to Easyfundraising, Give as You Live is a website that allows you to support Pharmacist Support whilst you carry out your everyday online shopping (with thousands of big name brands and retailers!). At no extra cost to you, using the application whilst you buy online ensures that Pharmacist Support receives 100% of eligible donations from the retailer.
All you have to do is sign up, choose Pharmacist Support as your charity and start shopping – as with Easyfundraising, just remember to start your shopping through the Give as You Live page to ensure the donations you generate come to us!
2. Donate straight to us
Make a one-off donation or set up a monthly donation straight to Pharmacist Support. We use the Charitable Aid Foundation to ensure we receive your donation quickly and efficiently.
