It’s almost time for our annual fundraising campaign #GoGreen4PS and this year we want it to be bigger and Greener than ever!

This is your chance to set yourself a challenge or to come together as a team or organisation,  have some fun and of course raise valuable funds to support struggling colleagues in their times of need. In 2018 the charity provided over 7,000 acts of support, covering issues relating to stress and wellbeing, money worries, employment, study, training and personal life.

In order to continue to be able to provide this free and confidential support the charity is very much reliant on donations from people just like you.

This year’s campaign will once again start on World Pharmacists Day 25^th September  and run until 31^st October 2019, so get your Green thinking caps on now and get planning your fundraising event or activity in aid of Pharmacist Support.

How can you get involved we hear you cry!

It’s easy to hold a #GoGreen4PS fundraiser at your place of work, your university or at a local meeting. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Wear GREEN

• Get as many of your colleagues as possible to join in and wear GREEN to work
• Decorate the pharmacy/work space & get your customers involved
• Raise funds by requesting a donation to take part. You could also hold a raffle or sell cakes (see below)
• Take pictures and use our fun props which can be found in our free fundraising pack
• Charge a fine to those not participating! (suggest £5).

Hold a GREEN Bake Sale

• Get together with friends and colleagues who are keen bakers
• Create a sumptuous spread of GREEN treats
• Promote the date using our free GoGreen poster and invite anyone and everyone to come along and eat cake – for a donation of course!
• Decorate the table or space using the bunting and props in our FREE #GoGreen4PS fundraising pack and use the donations tin included. You can request branded green table cloths, balloons and further resources by contacting us on fundraising@pharmacistsupport.org, 0161 441 0317. Hold a raffle

• Source some great prizes or ask your company to donate items
• Sell raffle tickets to all of your friends and colleagues
• Set up a table to promote the raffle and sell tickets – decorating the area using our balloons and bunting from the FREE fundraising pack.
• Draw the winners (publicly if you can) and distribute the prizes!

BIG GREEN Quiz

• Download our Big Green Quiz 2019
• Organise a time to get your friends and colleagues together and test their knowledge of all things Green
• Promote the event using our poster, included in our GoGreen fundraising pack
• Request a donation to enter.

Set yourself/your team a GREEN Challenge!

• Find an existing activity – a fun run, hike, swim, bike ride or even a sky dive! Or create a challenge of your own
• Set up a JustGiving fundraising page, giving yourself or your team a target and get your friends and colleagues to donate to spur you on
• Share your story – explaining what you are doing and why via emails, texts, WhatsApp groups or social media. Keep people informed of your progress and share pictures!
