Speaking of the event, PS Fundraiser Emma Ronan-Peate said “As our Chief Executive Diane Leicester-Hallam mentioned in her speech, the use of our free and confidential services increase year on year, with a staggering 10,000 acts of support being delivered by Pharmacist Support last year. Funds raised at events like this one are becoming more and more important. As the charity set up by pharmacists for pharmacists we rely entirely on the generosity of pharmacists and pharmacy organisations to be able to continue our work – be that as donors, sponsors or fundraisers, volunteers or supporters. The money raised will help us to continue to support the hundreds of people who reach out to us every year facing difficult challenges.”
The Awards also saw the exclusive announcement that 3 PCPA members Grahame Stretch, Helen Kilminster and Robin Conibere are set to cycle from the RPS HQ to Paris for Pharmacist Support on a triple bike no less! You can show your support and sponsor them here.
