It is with great sadness that we share the news that Sunil Lakhani has taken the difficult decision to step down from his role as a trustee of Pharmacist Support.

“Sunil joined the charity’s trustee board on 1st January 2014 and has been an invaluable member of our governing body ever since” commented Board Chair Steve Lutener. “He has provided crucial insight from the perspective of a community pharmacy owner as well as chairing the Finance Sub-Committee.

“Over the years, Sunil has also supported and represented the charity at local LPC events and in 2019 joined us at our joint parliamentary event with Chemist & Druggist highlighting the pressures impacting pharmacist’s wellbeing, where he shared his own personal experience of how the pharmacy funding cuts have impacted on him and his team. Sunil will be deeply missed by all here at Pharmacist Support, but we wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Speaking of his time with the charity, Sunil said “It has been truly an honour to be part of such an organisation and team, and this has been a very difficult decision to make. I will miss the drive, energy, and cohesiveness of the board and team at Pharmacist Support. I wish the them every success in the future.”

Pharmacist Support will be looking to recruit new charity trustees later in the year. Any future recruitment drives will be announced on the charity’s website. To keep informed of these opportunities, and the latest charity developments, sign up to receive the Pharmacist Support newsletter.
