On Thursday 23rd March Pharmacist Support held its very first Hero Awards. The event, hosted by Charity Chair Professor Peter Noyce and Chief Executive Diane Leicester-Hallam, saw the charity present 10 awards to individuals, groups and organisations who supported us in our 175th anniversary year. The Outstanding Achievement Award was presented by Peter.
Jonathan set himself an ambitious Hero challenge to raise his funds. As a non-runner he pledged to run 5K every day in January and increased this to 10K a day for the final few days of the month. In the end Jonathan raised a staggering £1,806 for Pharmacist Support. The recipient of our Outstanding Achievement award is the truly inspirational Mr Johnathan Laird!
Johnathan had this to say – “Amongst the excitement and celebration of success we should remember that Pharmacist Support is there for pharmacists when they need help most. Workplace pressure is real in pharmacy. The real heroes are the pharmacists who put their hand up and ask for help.”
