Are you a leader keen to steer a small but dynamic professional benevolent charity through its next phase of development?

Can you demonstrate successful development and implementation of a strategy which included growing and diversifying income?
If so, you could be our new Chief Executive!
Pharmacist Support is an independent charity for pharmacists and their families, former pharmacists and pharmacy students that provides help and support in times of need.
The charity’s support services include a variety of programmes developed in consultation with pharmacists to offer a helping hand to colleagues who find themselves confronted by difficult circumstances, for whatever reason.
Established as a benevolent fund by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain in 1841, it became an independent charity in 2006, and in 2008 a re-launch saw it embark on an ambitious project to raise the charity’s profile and develop a range of services identified as more in tune with the needs of pharmacists in the 21st century. It now boasts a suite of high quality, supportive services, an army of ambassadors and fundraisers in addition to a substantially increased reach across the sector.
The pharmacy profession is changing. Employment opportunities have grown and diversified, but many have also become less stable. Pharmacists, their families and pharmacy students, like many professions, are facing a range of challenges to their mental and physical health and wellbeing, as well as to their financial security.
The charity is now seeking an inspirational and influential individual who will consolidate recent progress and continue the ambitious plans for development, building on achievements whilst also developing new ways of working. They will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the current strategy and work with the Trustees and the senior management team to develop and implement the next strategy, thereby ensuring that Pharmacist Support is the charity of choice for all pharmacists and that it will be there for them in perpetuity.
